Permitted Developments
There are many properties throughout the uk that have permitted development rights; allowing home owners to build or extend their homes without planning permission. Permitted development can be used to:
- Extend your home up to 4 meters from the back of the property
- Extend your home over two storeys from the back or side of the property
- Convert your loft
- Build a porch
- Build a garage or other outbuilding.
There are certain rules and guidelines to adhere to, to be able to utilise your permitted development rights. In some cases these have been removed from property and we will always check with the local authority whether your property can benefit from permitted development.
